KellyKonvention 2010

Hello to our friends in the doll community,
KellyKon 2010 will be happening in May 2010. Our event will be marking its 6th year. This time will be heading to Fort Mitchell, Kentucky the weekend of May 1st and 2nd.
As you know from the past, Kelly collectors from all over the United States, and Canada will gather at the Kelly Konvention. The event brings together 40 Kelly collectors to celebrate their love for Barbie’s little sister, and to raise money for a worthy charity. For the past 5 years our Kelly Konventions have been very successful in making sizable donations to well deserving charities. In 2010 we are hoping to continue this tradition by raising money through our ooak doll auction for the Susan G.Komen for the Cure. We felt that this charity has a significant meaning to many of our Kelly collectors, either dealing with breast cancer or who have dealt with it or have family or friends who have. We are asking for your help again, as we have seen in the past. Our friends in the doll community have been so very generous in donating that each year our donation to our designated charity has grown in the dollar amount. We would like to keep this tradition that is why I am writing you today. We are asking you to consider sending a donation of either a ooak Kelly or Kelly family doll, Barbie included, or similar doll related item, or gift certificate to our auction, please include a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) with your ooak item if possible, and a business card so we can acknowledge your donation in our convention booklet. There will be a special section in our convention booklet where all ooak donations will be featured. We will also be accepting donations for our convention raffle, and goodie bags. The raffle is an important part of the convention too since the money raised thru the convention raffle will help to cover other expenses incurred that are not covered through the set convention fee. We appreciate your generosity in helping support our event. Donations can be sent to Margie Schultz, Donation co-ordinator, 3308 Royal Place, Cincinnati, OH 45208. Donations will be accepted until March 1, 2010. Donations to our convention goodie bags can be sent to Belinda Bylina, 9155 South Pembroke Lane, Bridgeview, IL 60455.
